Radarman 2nd Class James W. Petterson - US Navy WWII Veteran - Susanville, CA

On a beautiful Fall weather day, the Patriot Guard Riders having been invited by the family of fallen US Navy, WWII Veteran, Radarman 2nd Class James W. Petterson, to stand and honor during his Interment Service at the Diamond Crest Cemetery, Susanville, CA. 96130. Radarman 2nd Class James W. Petterson served his country proudly from 11 Nov 1942 to 27 May 1946.

Radarman 2nd Class James W. Petterson entered the US Navy and served aboard the USS Croatan - CVE 25, an Escort Aircraft Carrier, and the USS Indiana - BB 58, a South Dakota Class Battleship. Radarman 2nd Class James W. Petterson served off the east coast of the US and off the coasts of Africa and Europe. Radarman 2nd Class James W. Petterson received the following medals and Awards: European/African ME Area with one Star - American Area Ribbon with one Star - Victory Europe Ribbon - Navy Occupation Service Medal (European Clasp) - National Defense Service Medal.

Radarman 2nd Class James W. Petterson was a proud US Navy, WWII Veteran. Because of his love of life, his sense of humor and his love for his family, he will be missed by many.
