Memorial - US Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran, William K. Blue, Susanville, CA

Patriot Guard Riders invited by the family of US Marine Corp Veteran William Blue to stand with Military Honors at the Veterans Hall in Susanville, CA.

On a nice Fall day, 2 PGR from Nevada, 2 from Alturas, and 6 from the Susanville area, stood Flag Line and Military Honors. Thank you ALL for your participation.

William Kelly Blue, of Susanville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at Banner Lassen Medical Center. He was 65 years old. He was born Sept. 8, 1950 in Adams, Tennessee. He enlisted with the United State Marine Corps at just 17 years old.

He completed two combat tours in Vietnam where he was awarded Good Conduct Medals and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

William is survived by his two sons, William Kelly Blue, 11, Samuel Burdette Blue; daughters, Robin Denise Pearl Blue-Susso and Evelyn Anne Louise Marie Voila Blue; along with six grandchildren.

William was a true lover of the outdoors and he was happiest when camping, fishing and hunting with his family and friends. He was truly a unique soul. He will be greatly missed.
